What's a Group Insurance Sales Career Like

I met someone who works for a well-known insurance company that sells to businesses for its employees to buy into through their employers. I was told that business is expanding and they're looking for sales reps. Also, one needs to be licensed to sell insurance in this state, and they have classes to get licenses.

Before I look through the literature, I want to ask if anyone here have any experiences hooking up with a company in which you started on a similar entry level?
